Over the years, the collection of topics in my textbook has changed and changed again to reflect the progress in technology and my understanding of how to teach physics to nonscientists. Many topics have dropped out of the book and thus disappeared from actual print. Rather than leave them forever unavailable, I have kept them here as PDF files. The contents of these files is a little dated and my understanding of the science involved has improved since I wrote them. Nonetheless, these documents are still generally interesting, accurate, and relevant. — Lou Bloomfield
